Taylor Swift's Guide To Dressing Like a Manic Heiress:

Taylor Swift may not be one for fashion with a capital F, but boy does she know how to use clothes to tell a story. The singer's video for her song "Blank Space" has officially hit the Tube, and the costume changes are many and fabulous.

"Blank Space" is arguably the best song off "1989" — naysayers, get at me — with a delicious self-awareness about Swift's reputation for running through boyfriends the way others take down Cool Ranch Doritos. To that end, Swift has cast herself in the video as a romantic, paranoid, potentially reclusive heiress, running around on the grounds of her estate in a dizzying array of ball gowns, sun dresses, crop tops and, because it had to happen, riding outfits. Oh glorious day, the riding outfits!

ARIANA GRANDE 'InStyle' Nabs New Publisher From the 'WSJ'

'InStyle' Nabs New Publisher From the 'WSJ':

Nina Lawrence, vice president of global marketing and advertising sales for The Wall Street Journal, has just been named publisher of InStyle magazine, according to a release from Time Inc.

She succeeds publisher Karin Tracy, who had only been in the role since May 2013. The glossy saw a healthy uptick in ad sales during her tenure, with a more than a 6 percent increase in ad pages for the all-important September issue. It is not immediately clear why she is leaving Time Inc., where she has worked since 2009.

Lawrence will work directly with InStyle Editor in Chief Ariel Foxman to lead integrated sales and marketing "across all platforms," as well as develop new growth opportunities. Prior to the WSJ, she had 15 years of experience at Condé Nast, where she lead the 2010 relaunch of W.

Just like lots of other moms, Kate Moss took her 12-year-old daughter and a friend to the movies on Sunday. Unlike those other mother-daughter outings, it was the red carpet world premiere of the movie ("Paddington," a cartoon about Paddington Bear) and mom is the preeminent supermodel of our time. Meaning her daughter, Lila Grace, has been living under a microscope somewhat, with Kate fans waiting to see whether or not she'll follow in her mom's footsteps, as so many daughters-of-models have done before her.

Well, she's still 12, so there's no confirmation of that yet. But the tween, whose father is Dazed and Confused editor Jefferson Hack, is undeniably pretty, photogenic, comfortable in front of the camera, and seems to be developing her own eclectic sense of style. She casually paired wedge sneakers with high-waisted plaid pants, an athletic denim bomber, a lightweight parka and a graphic tee. Her jacket layering skills are impressive for a pre-teen, but we wonder if the parka came at the insistence of mom Kate -- it was raining after all.

Gap is making big moves across the pond. The brand has announced a partnership with Europe's largest fashion and footwear e-commerce site, Zalando. Based in Berlin, the retailer will bring Gap back to German customers for the first time since it shut down its stores there in 2004. {WWD}

Speaking of Germany, the country's edition of Interview magazine revealed an impressive cover for its December/January 2015 issue — Beyonce, fresh off a new video release, wearing a knit mask and fur hoodie. {Fashion Gone Rogue}

Theory is expanding its accessories offerings. The brand, once again under the creative direction of Lisa Kulson, has designed three soft, minimalist bags and two shoe styles, the latter in collaboration with CFDA Fashion Fund winner Paul Andrew. Almost exactly a year after opening a 40,000-square-foot photo studio in Brooklyn, Amazon has announced its intentions to open a similarly massive facility in Shoreditch, London. The purpose of both was and is to shoot fashion product images, a very tangible manifestation of the company's deepening investment in the vertical following the launch of Amazon Fashion in 2012.

So Amazon loves fashion. But does fashion love Amazon?

According to a new study from the research firm L2, the answer may be a big nope, at least when it comes to luxury brands. Of the many product categories Amazon plays in, high-end fashion labels have showed a particular aversion to selling through the e-commerce giant, with just 16 percent of 32 luxury brands L2 tracked electing to participate on the site.

A rep for Amazon declined to comment on the company's work with luxury retailers for this story.

That figure on brands' willingness to work with Amazon is especially striking when compared to the company's other fashion-centric properties. The Amazon-owned flash sales site MyHabit features 81 percent of those same brands, while Shopbop carries 44 percent of them.

Those who do work with Amazon tend to fall on the less exclusive end of the spectrum. Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Spade, Cole Haan and DVF all officially sell on Amazon, while brands like Chanel, Chloé, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana don't. But even relatively affordable labels like Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren and Lacoste have elected to steer clear of Amazon. Many of them may be leery of appearing on what is often thought of as a discount site — Michael Kors is even avoiding promotions in its own sales channels this holiday season in a bid to firm up its status as a "luxury" brand.

Not that brands always have a say in whether or not their goods end up on Amazon. According to a study L2 released this summer, Amazon carries an average of 1,576 items for brands that don't officially distribute on the site. Some of that comes through eyewear and fragrance licensees, some of it is overstock. Some is counterfeit.

The good news for the fashion brands that do sell on Amazon is that price fluctuations appear to be much less volatile than they are in other verticals. Amazon is constantly adjusting prices on its products — a reported 2.5 million times each day — in reaction to prices listed by other online retailers and third-party merchants on its own site.

Kate Spade bags, for instance, remain at relatively stable levels over the course of a month; one style held entirely steady at $295 throughout the entire period.

Maybe that information will help motivate brands to get on board with Amazon Fashion. And the e-tailer would do well to have its UK fashion division give its American counterparts some pointers: The British wing has an excellent track record of producing collaborations with hot, young British talent like Osman and Meadham Kirchhoff, partnerships that Vogue UK has even called "covetable."

That's what we'd call industry cachet.

Catherine McNeil has collaborated with the Beagle Freedom Project for a new app called Cruelty-Cutter, which tells users which brands avoid animal testing. All you have to do is scan the bar code of any health, household or beauty product. Easy. {Beagle Freedom Project}

In an interview with Paper's Mickey Boardman, the New York Times's Vanessa Friedman discusses the return of John Galliano and different roles newspapers and magazines play in the fashion industry. "Magazines are much more champions of the industry," she says. "Their job is not to speak truth to power; their job is more to kind of support power." Kendall Jenner is closing out her stellar year on the modeling scene with a bang: Not only did the Kardashian sibling just enter the prestigious Top 50 category on Models.com, she scored three separate covers for Dazed magazine's winter 2015 issue, which celebrates the next generation of creatives and tastemakers who are projected to rule the scene in the new year.

With such a swift rise to fame, we wouldn't be surprised if her modeling colleagues were a little peeved by her seemingly instant success. In fact, the biggest tidbit of Fashion Month gossip was that Jenner was the subject of "Mean Girls"-like bullying backstage at runway shows. But, according to Jenner's interview in the new Dazed, this wasn't the case at all. "That has never happened, ever," she told the magazine. "I would see rumours of girls bullying me backstage and putting cigarettes out in my drink, and none of that has happened. Everyone’s been really cool to me. I’ve never had one girl be mean... so far."

It's good to hear that Jenner's been warmly welcomed within the modeling industry, because she's more than likely going to stick around for a long, long time. Read more when the winter issue of Dazed hits newsstands on Nov. 27.

She's dated some of the hottest men on the planet - from Harry Styles to John Mayer - but for the time being Taylor Swift is content with being single.

Speaking to British Cosmopolitan, the popstar revealed she has given up on dating: “People will say, 'Let me set you up with someone', and I’m just sitting there saying, ‘That’s not what I’m doing. I’m not lonely, I’m not looking.’ They just don’t get it.



"I’ve learnt that just because someone is cute and wants to date you, that’s not a reason to sacrifice your independence and allow everyone to say whatever they want about you. I’m not doing that anymore.”

She confesses it would take someone truly special to sweep her off her feet.

“It’d take someone really special for me to undergo the circumstances I have to go through to experience a date. I don’t know how I would ever have another person in my world trying to have a relationship with me, or a family.

"The best answer I can come up with now is go at it alone. Life can be romantic without having a romance. I’m very attracted to how happy I am now.”

The 24-year-old, who recently released her fifth album 1989, says there is an inequality between the way men and women's love lives are discussed.

“My girlfriends and I talk a lot about feminism and the inequality between the way men and women are talked about.

"The kind of things we say are, ‘Why is it mischievous, fun and sexy if a guy has a string of lovers that he’s cast aside; loved and left? Yet if a woman dates three or four people in an eight-year period she is a serial dater and it gives some 12-year-old the idea to call her a ‘slut’ on the internet?’

"It’s not the same for boys, it just isn’t and that’s a fact.”

Taylor gushes about her female friends, especially Girls creator Lena Dunham.

“Her perspective has truly shaped me in the past couple of years. She is just so enthusiastic about life, about other women. She is like a hug in the form of a person.”

And it's these friends who have helped her settle into her new life in the Big Apple.

 “Moving to New York is the best thing I’ve ever done. I never thought I’d be able to survive that city. It’s so big and bright. Then I woke up one day about a year ago and it was all I could think about.

"I needed a new challenge and there’s no bigger challenge than uprooting your life, finding new places to hang out, new friendship circles…”

Disney Parks created a fun commercial featuring some football team mascots that might be heading to the Walt Disney World Resort soon! Here’s what was shared along with the video:

Ohio State’s ‘Brutus Buckeye,’ Alabama’s ‘Big Al,’ Oregon’s ‘Duck’ and Florida State’s ‘Garnet and Gold Guys’ are waiting to see who will be cheering ‘I’m Going to Disney World’ after the College Football Playoff…After the Jan. 12 National Championship game on ESPN, the winning team’s mascot will be treated to a champion’s parade down Main Street U. S. A. at Walt Disney World Resort!

We’ve been wondering for a while now what happened to the Cyrus family’s Seriously Cyrus YouTube channel. Cyrus family members Billy Ray Cyrus, Tish Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus and Noah Cyrus updated with video content regularly in the beginning, but after a few months they started posting less and less.

Now the YouTube channel hasn’t been updated in 3 months! And, only Brandi seemed to have been updating most of this year.
