See Tim McGraw's Celtic-Influenced 'Here Tonight' on 'Fallon'

See Tim McGraw's Celtic-Influenced 'Here Tonight' on 'Fallon':

Hours before kicking off an uncharacteristically intimate show at New York City's Edison Ballroom, Tim McGraw warmed up with a quick appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon yesterday evening, capping off the opening week of his new album, Damn Country Music, with a performance of the record's first track, "Here Tonight."

Co-written by Brett Beavers and Brothers Osborne's John and T.J. Osborne, "Here Tonight" mixes McGraw's country roots with Celtic influences and a stomping, four-on-the-floor pulse. His oldest daughter, Gracie, makes an appearance on the studio track, but she was absent last night, replaced instead by an eight-piece band of pickers, percussionists and whistlers. In the video above, McGraw looks calm and confident, singing an anthem about seizing the day — "You only get to live one time, so let's live it up right here tonight," goes one line — without breaking a sweat.

With Damn Country Music released last week, McGraw has a lengthy string of tour dates set for 2016, including performances at festivals like Tortuga and the Carolina Country Music Fest.
