Morrissey Likens TSA to ISIS: 'TSA Stands for Thorough Sexual Assault'

Morrissey Likens TSA to ISIS: 'TSA Stands for Thorough Sexual Assault':

Months after Morrissey claimed to have been sexually assaulted by TSA employees at San Francisco International Airport, the singer alleged that he has not heard from the agency after filing an official complaint.

"TSA have ignored my official and legal and constitutional complaint," he wrote in a statement to the fan site True to You. "From this we gather that TSA stands for Thorough Sexual Assault. If you are traveling through San Francisco International Airport, you must be ready for a full sexual attack by people who claim to have your interests at heart. It is unlikely that ISIS would stoop so low."

The singer previously claimed that a male TSA agent molested him, groping his penis and testicles, on the afternoon of July 27th, even though he cleared both a body scan and inspection of his belongings. "In the interests of imperishable bureaucracy, my submitted complaint against this 'officer' will obviously be either unread or ignored because, as we all know, on matters of officialism, it is not possible to be pleasantly surprised by anything at all," he wrote at the time. "However, what is clear is that, should you find yourself traveling through San Francisco International Airport, you should expect sexual abuse from the so-called 'security officers' who, we are unconvincingly warned, are acting only for our security."

A few days later, a TSA spokesperson told Rolling Stone that it would consider the complaint, but that a brief review of the incident seemed above board. "TSA takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and strives to treat every passenger with dignity and respect," he said. "Upon review of closed circuit TV footage, TSA determined that the supervised officer followed standard operating procedures in the screening of this individual."
