The hip-hop mogul says he's been "in negotiation" with the hot young Chicago MC.

Russell Simmons wants to bring back Def Poetry Jam with Chance the Rapper attached as host, the hip-hop mogul revealed via Twitter on Friday (July 14).

Simmons tweeted that he is "super excited" to be in negations with Chance about rebooting the series, which originally ran from 2002-2007 with host Mos Def on HBO.

The new series would reportedly be called All Def Poetry, according to Deadline. It would return to HBO, per Simmons' tweet, where he has a longstanding relationship.
