Beyoncé performs during the Formation World Tour at Esprit Arena on July 12, 2016, in Dusseldorf, Germany.
In the first round of Billboard's Fan Army Face-OffBeyoncé's dedicated #Beyhive takes on The Chainsmokers' loyal #ThePack. With fast-growing, devoted fandom on both sides, this breakout round is bound to be a close battle.

So far, the Beyhive is edging out a slight lead on The Pack, with a bit over 175,000 votes to The Chainsmokers' roughly 159,000.

A perennial chart-topper, Bey dropped the Grammy-nominated Billboard 200 number one album Lemonade last May, with enough hits to keep her hive bumping the record non-stop since. True fans have been around since the Houston-born singer's days in Destiny's Child, and still know all the words to "Crazy In Love," her first number one single as a solo artist. There's been no shortage of hits since from the star, and the Beyhive's hype is only increasing with the recent birth of Queen Bey's twins with husband JAY-Z.

But The Chainsmokers are racking up a formidable fan army Pack, too, with their chart-topping catchy banger "Closer" and more recently, the addictive Coldplay collab "Something Like This," which peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100. The dance-pop duo made up of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall made a breakthrough back in 2014 with the hit "Selfie," and came back in the last few years with the party anthem "Roses" and their infectious, Grammy-winning "Don't Let Me Down." With the fan army shakedown taking place just months after the release of the group's debut studio album -- Memories...Do Not Open -- the competition is tight.

It's not over just yet. Round one closes at noon on July 26, so don't forget to place your vote here.
