Flashback Friday: Donald Trump & Megan Mullally Sing 'Green Acres' Theme Song at 2006 Emmys

Flashback Friday: Donald Trump & Megan Mullally Sing 'Green Acres' Theme Song at 2006 Emmys:

Last year, the 'Will & Grace' actress expressed regret over teaming up with the now-president.

Once upon a time, there was a world where Donald Trump was not president of the United States of America, but just a reality TV show host and business mogul. While the television world grins and grumbles about the new Emmy Award nominees who were announced Thursday, let's look back to a more innocent era when Trump and Will & Grace star Megan Mullally teamed up to sing the Green Acres theme song for the 2006 award show.

After an introduction from host Ellen DeGeneres, Trump took the stage in overalls and an undershirt, with a straw hat on his head and a pitchfork in his hand and belted out the beloved theme song. Meanwhile, Mullally, played her Will & Grace character, Karen Walker, the two of them paying homage to taking on the sitcom's Oliver and Lisa Douglas leading roles.

Last year, following Trump's presidential victory, Mullally was far from enthusiastic about having previously worked with the Donald in any capacity. Speaking with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, the actress pantomimed barfing when talking about Trump and recalled his competitive nature over their performance -- which was pitted against other similar Emmy show performances in a public vote for a skit called "Emmy Idol."

Mullally told the story of Trump calling her the next day to congratulate her on their supposedly much-needed victory, bragging about their "landslide" victory.

"So if he felt that way about 'Emmy Idol,' how do you think he felt about the presidential election?" she asked Colbert.
